Dragon Quest IX[]
Making its debut, it is the Mage vocation's Coup de Grâce that allows the user to use all spells and abilities without consuming MP (With the exception of M-Pathy).
Dragon Quest X[]
Once again the Mage's Coup de Grace, it acts the same as in IX, but can now benefit from Channel Anger and spell chanting speed is increased from 2.4 onwards, while the Spell Damage Limit Break is increased from 6.2 onwards.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Appearing as a Pep Power, it is used when the Luminary and his grandfather are Pepped Up at the same time. While acting the same as in previous appearances, M-Pathy is now affected by the Pep Power, making it useful in prolonged fights.
Etymology[]
Since the numeral 0 (zero) can be pronounced as "oh" in the English language, it is likely a clever reference to ozone. Ozone (O3) represents the unstable variation of oxygen found in the Earth's upper atmosphere, serving as a protective shield against solar radiation.
