The 12 Demon Generals (魔軍十二将, Twelve Devil Army) are a group of boss monsters in Dragon Quest X.

Biography[]

Serving under the Immortal Demon Lord Nerodus 1000 years ago, they attacked Astoltia with a large army of monsters, but were defeated by Alvin alongside their master, while a previous iteration of the Crown of Wisdom sealed them. While the monsters themselves became their normal selves and fightable in the Magic Labyrinths, the Hero wouldn't face the generals in their heyday until 4.1, dealing with them in various parts of the story. Furthermore, they battled Nerodus and lost, but were revived by his immortal power and pledged their loyalty to him, as revealed in 5.2.

Trivia[]

Out of all of the Demon Generals, only Atlas, Pazuzu, and Belial are not fightable due to various circumstances.
- Atlas was killed first, while Pazuzu hunted for human souls everywhere, and Belial survived the war while leading the remaining arms, until the story's events.
