A3G15

The A3G15 is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.

Characteristics[]

A dark grey variant of the killing machine with a hue of green eyes, crossbow limbs, quivers and feet. They only appear in the last of the games possessing much stronger combat stats than their earlier versions of the war-mechs.

Etymology[]

The mech's Japanese name, Durandal, comes from the sword of Roland, legendary paladin of Charlemagne in French epic literature.

Converting the numbers in its name to similar-looking letters spells "Aegis". In Greek mythology, the aegis was a type of armour forged by the gods and bearing the head of a Gorgon.
