The adventurer’s map is an important item in Dragon Quest III and Dragon Quest V.

As its name implies, it is an ancient map of the world left by a previous traveller.

Appearances[]

Dragon Quest III[]

Found in the Path of Promise, it draws itself as the party treks across the globe. Terrain variations are identified immediately, while points of interest are marked with flashing dots when visited.

In mobile versions, tapping the map icon will grant access to the map. Tapping again allows the player to zoom in on the current continent.

Dragon Quest V[]

Given to the player by Pankraz at the start of the game, it allows the player to access the world map when the square or Y button is pressed. It replaces the Traveller's Map from the NES version which had to be accessed from the menu.

In mobile versions, the map is acquired automatically.

Dragon Quest VI[]

Found in the Alltrades Abbey on the B1F. It is not to be confused with the world map which is either bought in haggleton with regards to the PC version or at the start in all other versions

Dragon Quest VII[]

Found in the playstation version and classified as the 'world map' in the Shrine of Mysteries. Once acquired it can be accessed by pressing the square button.

Dragon Quest VIII[]

Also known as the world map, it is given to the party after the events in the Maella Abbey in the original version.
