Age of Heroes (Dragon Quest XI)

The Age of Heroes is an epoch in the history of Erdrea and an important period of reference in Dragon Quest XI. It is said to be the time in which Erdwin and his companions flourished.

Plot[]

Long ago four heroes stood ready to face Calasmos. They were Erdwin, the hero; Serenica, the sage; Drustan, the warrior; and Morcant, the mage. Together they traveled the world and forged the Sword of Light.

They faced Calasmos in battle and defeated him. However before the final blow could be struck, Morcant was tempted and brainwashed by Calasmos for more power. Morcant then killed Erdwin and became Mordegon. Because of this, the Watchers, Serenica and Drustan sealed Calasmos' body away for the next Luminary. Drustan created the labyrinths to aid the next Luminary while Serenica established Arboria.

Serenica then sought a way to be with Erwin again. She found the tower but lacked the power and weapon to turn back time. She ended up collapsing and became the Timekeeper.
