Anessa is a character in Dragon Quest Builders 2. She meets the Builder and Malroth after they give her some antidotal herbs.
Appearance[]
She has an iron helmet covering her purple hair. She wears a red tunic underneath her iron armour. She has yellow gloves and boots, and very bright blue eyes.
Personality[]
Anessa is steadfast and loyal to her king. She is eager to continue the war in Moonbrooke. She chooses the side that benefits her best (first the Children of Hargon and later the Builder).
Anessa has a problem with the way Maroth fights and that he isn't following her commands. She's one of the people that support the decision to throw Malroth into jail.
Dragon Quest Builders 2[]
Anessa is the leader of the army of Moonbrooke, is extremely smart, and very capable. Unfortunately, things aren't all good for her, and she is later falsely accused of being an enemy spy by Warwick, although the evidence was incredibly believable. Fortunately for her, the truth eventually comes out after the player reaches Rendarak to look for the final piece of the Kazzapple Cannon in order to defeat Atlas. In Midenhall Castle, you discover the person you had trusted the most, Warwick, is the spy.
Once you return, The King asks you where Warwick went, and you have to explain everything. Anessa then switches side by saying that she is not actually a follower of the Children of Hargon, and in fact, never was in the first place. She had just been keeping up a face to stay out of trouble. After you bring peace back to Moonbrooke, Anessa asks you if she can go to the Isle of Awakening with you, as well as asks you to ask everybody else who is not a random NPC if they want to come as well.
Abilities[]
Anessa is not a very special character other than her role in the story, and she functions similarly to any other soldier in the game, allowing you to give her weapons to enhance her strength. She accompanies you for most of the Moonbrooke story, and you give her Ra's mirror, so she can check to see if anyone else within the castle was a monster or spy. She is very powerful and takes a long time to defeat.
