Anlucia the Maluminary is a tertiary villain in Dragon Quest X and a recurring monster character in the Dragon Quest series.
Appearance[]
As a near perfect copy of the real Anlucia, Anlucia the Maluminary's eyes are a striking shade of blue, and her hair boasts a radiant blonde hue; she also has the same mole. She dons a regal purple garment concealed beneath a black tunic adorned with opulent golden accents. Her footwear is a bold yellow, and she carries a sword safely encased in a scarlet sheath.

Biography[]
Anlucia is first seen passing through the Sanmon Checkpoint with a solider from Grand Zetannia during her quest to slay monsters, noticing a very similar girl who looks just like her named Mishua. When the Hero tells Anlucia they saw light from the Hero's awakening and travelled to Rendacia, she tells them it's a mistake and she hasn't awakened as a Hero. Later, she asks the Hero and Mishua's help (With the additions of Mjoll, Hussar, Fura, Distan, and Prince Laguas in the Offline version) in fighting some monsters in the Zetannia Cave, which they both accept. After fighting through various monsters, the Hero, Anlucia, and her two guards accompanying Mishua look around the cave's deepest levels and are about to leave when a Great argon lizard attacks the girl, frightening the villager. When the Hero (As well as Mjoll, Hussar, Fura, Distan, and Prince Laguas) tries to help, Anlucia stops them, though before the monster can do some serious damage, a light barrier somehow appears on Mishua and repels the lizard when it tries to attack again. Anlucia is sadistically pleased, saying that Mishua has the Heroic power she lacks and has her guards imprison the villager in the castle dungeon. It's eventually revealed that she's a malevolent imposter of the real Anlucia brought into existence as an experiment of Mage Killgill by the will of Maldragora, so she can take the real Anlucia's place. Frustrated at being unable to obtain the power of the hero, she sacrificed many innocent people in an effort to achieve the power before finally being defeated by the real Anlucia following her transformation into a monstrous form by Killgill. After being slain, her soul briefly returned by possessing the swordsman Tegram, before being sent once again into the afterlife.
