Asfeld Academy is a boarding school located in Rendacia and the main location of the Asfeld Academy storyline in Dragon Quest X.
Overview[]
First appearing in X's Version 3.4 update, Asfeld Academy is a boarding school for youths that lies separate from other events in the game. Players can enroll as a second-year student, though they cannot bring their inventory and instead receive special items in place of their inventory during their time at the school. The only items that can be brought to the outside world when returning from the school is the Asfeld Medal of Honor and the Asfeld Grand Medal of Honor.
In order to access the school, the Version 2.1 story must have been completed and the player must have the Brave Princess Stone. Once enrolled, the player can meet the school principal, Principal Bouns, and form bonds with a select amount of characters that will join their party for the storyline. The more the player raises their bond level with the party characters, the stronger their party members will become.
Asfeld Academy is noted to offer 12 classes over a course of 3 years with an aim to enable students to excel in both academics and in battles. Enrolling in the Academy is not required for the game, though it does offer special items as rewards for completing the story. Additionally, players can only enroll as a Human avatar that they will create for this portion of the game.
