Aubout du Monde is a location in Dragon Quest IV. It is the hometown of Maya and Meena, and the location of their father's alchemy laboratory.

Synopsis[]

A fairly small village, localism is apparently very strong in Aubout du Monde, as the innkeeper will allow the party to stay for free if Maya or Meena are present. Though there is only one shop in the village, in Chapter 5 a weapons merchant will have arrived in town, allowing the party to buy his wares.

Balzack, if not a native of Aubout du Monde, at least lived there for a time while studying under the sisters' father; the same can be said of Oojam.

Story[]

Chapter 4[]

While on their quest to avenge his death, Meena and Maya return home to investigate the remains of their father's laboratory. They learn from one of the villagers that his apprentice, Oojam, has gone into hiding in a nearby cave, and so set off to find him.

Chapter 5[]

Upon the advice of Healie, the party make a visit to Aubout du Monde while trying to penetrate Palais de Léon. In Mahabala's old laboratory, they meet with a slime who informs them of another lab hidden in the depths of Gupta Gupha, and the magic key contained therein.

During the game's ending, the sisters and the Hero stop off at Aubout du Monde to pay one last visit to the Guru Mahabala's grave.
