Ban Dance is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest VI, it prevents a group of enemies from performing dance abilities.
Appearances[]
Dragon Quest VI[]
Making its debut, it is learned by advancing to rank 6 of the Dancer vocation, and is also used by Jugular jokers in battle. It can also be learned by recruited Sluggernauts at level 20, though only in the SNES version.
Dragon Quest VII[]
Learned by advancing to Rank 6 of the Dancer vocation, it acts the same as in VI. Aishe already learns this skill when she joins the party.
Dragon Quest VIII[]
An enemy only skill in this entry, it is used by Hell hoppers to seal enemies' dance moves, being particularly annoying in the 3DS remake for Red since all but one of her fan skills are considered dances in the game's programming.
