Biography[]
One of Zoma's most faithful, powerful and loyal servants, Baramos was tasked by his master to discretly conquer the Overworld and bring it under his rule without revealing Zoma's involvement until its total subjugation.
At some point after his initial arrival to the Overworld through the Pit of Giaga, Baramos and his forces completely wiped out the inhabitants of the nearby Castle Necrogond and took the structure for himself, turning it into his personal lair. He also likewise laid waste to Theddon, the closest settlement to his newfound stronghold and then cruelly cursed the souls of its inhabitants to be unable to pass into the afterlife, every night continuing their daily lives unaware of their passing.
At some point Baramos ordered to the sadistic multi-headed dragon Orochi, to replace Jipang's leader Pimiko and after doing so Orochi began an elaborate ruse in order to receive tribute in the form of young women to be sent to be devoured by her. While the morale of the people of Jipang began to crumble, ironically this act proved to be incredibly detrimental for the forces of evil in the long run, as the constant tributes eventually forced a young man to flee along side his wife from Jipang and cross the Pit of Giaga into the Underworld in order to bring his beloved to safety, an unmatched blacksmith with the skills necessary to forge a second Sword of Kings, the very same blade that Baramos' master Zoma feared so much that he had previously spent three whole years to break.
Baramos was also able to imprison the mighty warrior Simão within the Shrine of Shackles, after the latter was unjustly banished from his homeland of Manoza under the orders of its king, who in truth had been similarly replaced by a minion of Baramos, a Boss troll disguised thanks to the use of a Mod Rod. He did so, because Baramos knew that the mighty weapon possesed by Simão, the Mountaincleaver sword, had the power to potentially clear the way towards an easier path to access his stronghold. Inside the grim prison, Simão lost his life, but his spirit lingered after death in order to entrust to a worty heir the sword that Baramos feared so much.
While the presence and effective danger of Baramos had yet to be fully recognized by most of the world's nations, Baramos himself began spreading spies to keep a close eye on his future targets. However the kingdom of Aliahan fully recognized the threat he posed, and tasked its champion Ortega with the duty to eliminate Baramos once and for all.
After Ortega was seemingly killed by Garboyle, this task was passed down to his child, who must finish what he started. After visiting the King of Aliahan, they set out on a quest to defeat the Archfiend. After gathering the six Orbs and awakening Ramia, they go into Baramos's castle to fight the Archfiend. After a threat about eating Erdrick's innards, the two fight for the fate of the world, with the Hero triumphant. Baramos is slain and the King of Aliahan throws a celebration, seemingly marking the end of the story. However, Zoma announces that Baramos was just an underling and announces his intentions to throw Aliahan into darkness, just as he did with Alefgard, forcing the Hero to continue their quest.
Zoma would later summon to his aid both Baramos's re-animated skeleton, known as the Bones of Baramos, as well as his very Soul, in order to delay the party's advance.
