Belial

Belial is one of Hargon’s henchmen from Dragon Quest II and a recurring common monster in the later games, being a more powerful version of an Archdemon.

Belial is a demon with yellow scales covered in bumps, a pair of blue wings and wears a pair of brown gloves and boots as well as it is armed with a brown pitchfork for combat.

Biography[]

Belial is encountered in the Hall of Hargon as the third and final member of the Unholy Trinity, combining both Atlas's physical strength and Pazuzu's magical strength. In the game's HD-2D Remake, he has an expanded role; his first appearance where he berates a Goyling and a Midnight manguini for failing to recruit the Dragonlord's Great Grandson to the Children of Hargon's cause and then attacking him, before incinerating them with a fire spell. Later, he attacks Dream-Whisperer and the Faeries in the Faerie Palace before the Scions of Erdrick confront him.
