Biography[]
The boss of the Wetling's prologue story; the Black Groom was originally a young man from the Village of Lane, Reg, who was soon to be married to Dahlia, the love of his life, gifting her a beautiful seashell. But on the wedding day, his bride was dragged into the sea by an evil force, never to be seen again; in his grief, the young man drowned himself on that very shore, his lingering spirit corrupted by demonic miasma. Soon disasters began to strike Lane, until the inhabitants erected a small shrine to appease the tormented soul of the groom.
Some years later however, Aashik, who also was soon to be married, made the ill decision to take the beautiful seashell from the shrine, which was suppressing the regrets of the Black Groom, in order to gift it to his own bride, Keel; this reawakened the Black Groom, who kidnapped Keel, mistaking her for his own long lost love. However, he was confronted by Hussar and the Hero, reincarnated as a Wetling, and after the battle, a mysterious light shooting into the sky finally purified his tormented soul, putting the Black Groom to rest at last.
