Black flying dragon is a boss monster in Dragon Quest X and a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.

When Antero invaded the Ogre village of Langao in search of a God vessel, who turned out to be Mjoll, he commanded an army of various dragon monsters, which included other, differently colored flying dragons, red, yellow and blue, said army was lead by a Black flying dragon. Thankfully, the intervention of the Hero allowed the Ogres of the village to better defend themselves, and the Hero were able to directly confront Antero himself.
