Bolt Blaster (Thunderbolt in DQotS and Heroes II) is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest VIII[]
Making its debut, it is used by Infernal armours to damage all enemies in battle.
Dragon Quest IX[]
Acting the same as in VIII, it is used by Infernal Armours once again.
Dragon Quest X[]
While an enemy only skill used by Schwarzchulds, the Yellow flying dragon, Storm Wenril, and Terudmir (Whose version can also inflict paralysis), as well as Infernal Armours once again, it can also be learned by investing 12 skill points into a recruited Restless armour's Stray Sword skill tree and inflicts lightning damage of about 129 to 141 (114 to 126 prior to 3.2's previous term), depending on the monster's Magical Might though it can also deal 300 damage. It costs 6 MP to use, with the skill's power buffed to its highest from 5.2 onwards.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Once again used by Infernal Armours, it damages all enemies though if the game is in 3D, the attack is the same as in X. If the game is in 2D, it acts the same as in VIII and IX.
Dragon Quest Heroes II[]
Used by players when they transform into a Cumaulus through its Monster Medal
