Bonanzo is a character in Dragon Quest Builders 2. The Builder meets him and Perry at Furrowfield.

Appearance[]

Bonanzo is a gruff man with a primarily green farmer's tunic. He wears black boots and has a mustache along with a beard that complement his hair.

Personality[]

Bonanzo is older than the Builder and because of this he often jokingly refers to himself as their "father figure", "Uncle", "Older Brother". He isn't trusting of anyone new at first but as the Builder does more to give him and the others inspiration with creation he opens up and gives out advice pretty much whenever he is talked too.

Biography[]

Dragon Quest Builders 2[]

The Builder and Malroth meet Bonanzo when he and Perry are trying to grow wheat. Unfortunately the spoil spore goes off and ruins the crop. He berates the builder for showing up even after they grow cabbages for the first time. Only when the Builder rings the Builders bell for the first time does he decide to help rebuild Furrowfield farm.

Bonanzo is very brave, but terrified of what may befall him should he disobey the Children of Hargon, but eventually decides to become the mayor of Furrowfield, but he is never granted this wish, because for some odd reason, nobody Bonanzo comes across that’s not from Furrowfield trusts him because of his beard. Even Malroth states that he doesn’t trust anyone with a beard.

When Pastor Al talks of the Deitree, Bonanzo mentions that it once protected all life in Furrowfield. He also heard rumors of a tribe that once turned spoiled soil into fertile earth but he's not sure what happened to them until he meets Wrigley. After that he talks about becoming mayor, sadly he doesn't become the mayor but offers to learn what it takes to become a mayor.

Abilities[]

Bonanzo can be added to the Builder's party with the Resident's Registration like most of the other named computer-controlled characters. He is capable of assisting in the construction of blueprints and can make use of the rooms the Builder constructs. Additionally being a farmer, he can till fields and fight monsters.
