A bronze shield is a recurring shield in the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest III[]
The Bronze shield has a Defence bonus of +7. It can be equipped by the Hero, Warriors, Priests, Merchants, Thieves, and Sages. However, the Sage loses the ability to equip it in remakes. It can be purchased for 250 gold coins (180 in the NES Version) from Romaria, Khoryv, Asham, and Theddon and sold for 187 (135 in the NES Version). It can also be dropped by Crabber dabber doos.
Dragon Quest V[]
The Bronze shield has a Defence bonus of +11.
Dragon Quest VI[]
The Bronze shield has a Defence bonus of +11 and a style bonus of +7. They can be bought/sold for 370/135 Gold at the Secret Passage and the armour shop in Somnia (Real World).
Dragon Quest VII[]
The Bronze shield has a defence bonus of +11 and a style bonus of +7. It can be equipped by Hero, Kiefer, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe. It can be purchased in Frobisher in both the past and present for 470 gold coins and sold for 235 gold coins.
Dragon Quest VIII[]
The Bronze shield has a Defence bonus of +10. It can be equipped by the Hero and Yangus. It can be purchased from Ascantha for 370 gold coins and sold for 185 gold coins. It can be made using the Alchemy Pot. One can be found in the Ruined Abbey and Dark skeletons will rarely drop them.
