Carumo is a character in Dragon Quest X. The younger, kinder brother of Vigore, the king of one of the two kingdoms of the Wenna Islands of the past, he was framed by his evil brother for the murder of Linache, the queen of the other kingdom, as Vigore planned to instead marry the far easier to control Aria, Linache's younger sister. However, Vigore's plot was discovered, and eventually Carumo, now king, fell in love and married Aria, thusly unifying the two kingdoms.
