Casabranca (formerly known as Branka) is a location in Dragon Quest IV. Southeast of the Hidden Valley and east of Endor, it is likely one of the first places the Hero visits after beginning Chapter 5. Recognizing the growing threat, Casabranca is in the process of recruiting parties of adventurers to journey and defeat the Lord of the Underworld.

Etymology[]
The name Casabranca is derived from the real-life city of Casablanca, meaning 'White House'. Though Casabranca is the Portuguese name for the city, its use in-game more likely stems from the initial mistranslation of the Japanese ブランカ (Buranka, intended as 'Blanca') into Branka in the NES release.
Trivia[]
The mercenaries encountered when first arriving at Casabranca are later seen accompanying Alena in the Imperial Pantry of Parthenia.
