Hits all enemies for 50~60 ice-type damage.

Dragon Quest III Remakes[]
Appearing in the remakes, it is used by Boreal serpents, Skelegons, and Dragon zombies to deal damage to all enemies.
Dragon Quest IV[]
Making its debut, it is used by Chillanodons, Dragooners, Marquis de Léon, Balzack, Estark, Barbatos, and Psaro the Manslayer in battle. Sparkie can also use while fighting alongside the Chosen.
Dragon Quest VI[]
Chilly Breath is learned by Shelley at level 22, while other characters can obtain this technique by advancing to rank 4 of the Dragon vocation. It is also used by Freezing fogs, Drastic drackals, Wraithwands, Murdaw, and Gracos in battle.
Dragon Quest VII[]
Chilly Breath can be learned by advancing to Rank 7 of the Drake slime, Rank 5 of the Rashaverak, and Rank 2 of the Seasaur. It is also used by Claw breakers, Jade dragons, Galumphs, Sculpture vultures, Oinkubuses, Hexicons, Dragstars, Sculptrices, Gigalumphs, Escudogres, Skeleton squires, Bone barons, Grotwyrms, Small fries, Abyss divers, Seasaurs, Merderers, Gracos V, Sulkk, Hybris, Mossferatu, and Orgodemir, as well as Gracos once again. In the 3DS remake, it is also learned by advancing to Rank 7 of the Monster Masher vocation.
Dragon Quest VIII[]
While an enemy only skill used by Demonriders, Frogmen, Frostburns, and Killer croakers, as well as Seasaurs once again, it can also be used by Munchie when he is fed a Chilly cheese.

A scroll of this ability can also be obtained by exchanging 1500 Summer Festival Medals and Chocolate Truffles at their respective Swap Shops, in addition for 3 Santa Krystalinda Decorations and clearing Stage 7 of Trap box and Lleviathan's Battle Roads.
