Coral Grief is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series.

Appearances[]

Dragon Quest VII[]

Making its debut, Coral Grief is learned by reaching rank 7 of the Pirate vocation, and hits all foes for 80~110 for 8 MP. Despite the spell's animation and oceanic theme, it actually carries the same rock/strike element as Boulder Toss and Knuckle Sandwich.

In the 3DS remake of VII, Coral Grief can only be used by the Pirate vocation and is now learned at rank 3.

Dragon Quest X[]

Learned by the Pirates at level 74, it damages an enemy and its surrounding allies with a torrent of water, costing 20 MP to cast. Unlike VII, it is now classified as a Woosh spell and is easier to use than Kaswooshle. It is also used by Evil God Linache, Ranvirisma, and the Demon gate guard in battle.

Dragon Quest Heroes II[]

Learned by investing 6 skill points into Cesar, he whips up a furious torrent of water, washing away enemies in front of him for 11 MP.
