Crackerwhack (Aka Feel the Beat) is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.
Appearances[]
Dragon Quest VIII 3DS[]
Only appearing in the 3DS remake, it is learned by Morrie when he invests 100 skill points into his Club skill tree. It hits all enemies for 30% more damage than his normal attacks, and has a 1/8th (12.5%) chance to stun foes for one turn. It costs 10 MP to use, and does not use the Strike/Rock attribute as with Boulder Toss.
Dragon Quest IX[]
Making its debut, it is learned by investing 88 skill points into the Hammer skill tree and deals 160~190 damage, further modified by the target's defence against dirt. This "piercing" effect is excellent for dealing with sturdier foes, but unfortunately, the Metal Slime family is immune. It costs 12 MP to use, and is used by Wishmasters and Atlas in battle.
Dragon Quest X[]
Learned with 100 skill points allocated into the Hammer skill tree, as well as investing 40 skill points into recruited Brownies' Hammer skill tree, it hits enemies for 1.3 times the damage of a normal attack and can also potentially knock enemies down for a turn from this game onwards. It costs 8 MP to use, and is also used by Gigantes, Mad moais, Moai minstrels, Jadoais, Vividoais, Macelies, Pilferers, Barquez, Dark night giant, Giant War Demon, Lamentation of Magic, Maldragora the Worldmaker, Gigantifungi, Hemographic beast, Original Beast Pregogue, Mourning Beast Zontedor, Kyronos's first forme, Cursed Shish Kebab, Silver Armoured Assault Commander Dabam, and Steel Training Shell in battle. In the Offline version of the game, it is learned by investing 10 skill points in Distan's Hammer skill tree as well as the Hero's Hammer skill tree after clearing the first Skill Panel Expansion sidequest.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Acting the same as in X, it is an enemy only skill and is used by Cyclopses and the Dud dude, as well as Gigantes once again.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances from X onwards, it is learned by newly reincarnated Gigantes and Stout trolls, Heavy Hoods and Great Keepers at level 27, Bilhaws at level 39, Wishmasters at level 31, Pale whales at level 28, Queen slimes and Orichalgon at level 25, Hogeira and Evil Rebjorn at level 33, costing 52 MP to use.
Dragon Quest of the Stars[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is used by Great Keepers once again during the Dragon Quest III Event.
Dragon Quest Heroes II[]
Learned by reaching level 3 of Desdemona's Axe proficiency, it once again costs 10 MP to use and causes a crack on the ground that damages surrounding enemies.
Dragon Quest Walk[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by Mortamor at level 30 and recruited Giganteses and Weaken beakons at level 50. It costs 40 MP to use, and is used by Giant hammerhood, as well as Gigantes, Golden Goliaths, and Atlas once again.
Dragon Quest Tact[]
Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learned by Heavy Hoods at level 44, Pruslas at level 52, and Overkilling machines at level 32, dealing 250% physical damage to all enemies in range. It costs 56 MP to use.
