Usefulness[]
Original version[]

Although the Dancer takes 120 battles to master and it has some good skills, when Aishe joins the party, she has already mastered the dancer class. Aishe should be given the time to learn the Sword Dance skill as it is one of the best battle skills in Dragon Quest VII. It is also the most cost effective skill in terms of overall power.

The Hero and Ruff should also learn the Sword Dance skill. It takes 108 battles to bring both classes' levels to the 5th tier where they will learn Sword Dance.

Remake[]

By itself, the Dancer has quite a few battle-tilting dances, but they tend to have little effect against hardier foes. Aishe starts with this class already mastered, so it would be wise to turn her to a different path. To evolve to Luminary and increase her stun rate, Aishe needs Troubadour and Jester. For everyone else, it may just be smart to either skip this class or master it early to focus on other vocations more suited to them.

Dragon Quest X[]

The Dancer is one of the two advanced vocations available in version 3.0 of Dragon Quest X. They can dual wield Fans, Knives, and Wands, and can also use Fisticuffs, each one with their own individual skill trees; their exclusive skill tree is called Song (うた). Their Coup de Grâce is the Argami Dance. Dancers excel in their unique dancing and singing skills, which can buff allies with a variety of positive effects as well as hinder their enemies.
