The Dark Armour Spear is a weapon in the the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai[]
A spear crafted by Lon Beruk to be used as a weapon and a armour. Used by Larhart to then be given to Hyunckel as a memento. As long as the lance is whole, it will repair itself. When the armour is equipped, the user cannot be affected by magic, except lightning.
Hyunckel uses it from the battle against Larhart, until his final battle against Promoted Hym, after that it returns to its first owner Larhalt.
It was heavily damaged against but was repaired by Lon Beruk after the Sovereign Rock Castle battle, it was later upgraded for the final battle against Vearn.
Unlike its counterpart, the Dark Armour Blade, the Dark Armour Spear possesses many secret weapons; Hyunckel, after training against Lon Beruk during repairs, discovered 10:
- The left hand has the spear in its shield, with an expandable shaft, shown by Larhalt against Hyunckel
- The right gauntlet is a throwable spike, used by Larhart against Hyunckel
- The shield is a Boomerang, used by Hyunckel against Mystvearn after the Sovereign Rock Castle battle
- Both knees have spikes
- The chest has shurikens on both sides
The upgraded reforged version was also shown to possess a sword in its right gautlet
The spear has retractable protusion to get a cross-like shape, as shown by Hyunckel to cast Grand Cross against the Sovereign Cross Castle.
It was made of the second strongest material in the world, although it remains vastly inferior to orichalcum. It was seemingly destroyed after the final battle against Vearn.

- Based on Hyunckel's attributes from filler pages, using the DQIII calculation system (attack = strength + bonus; defence = agility/2 + bonus), the original lance has a +85 attack bonus and a +81 defence bonus and after being restored by Lon Berk, it has a +90 attack bonus and a +85 defence.
