The Demon Swordsman is a vocation in the Dragon Quest series.

Description[]

The design of the vocation is based on the humanoid form of Psaro that debuted in the Sony PlayStation remake of Dragon Quest IV, wearing black and red clothing with bone armor and wielding heavy weapons in battle, along with powers of darkness. Makenshi has also been used in some games in order to differentiate the humanoid version of Psaro from his green demonic form.

Appearances[]

Dragon Quest X[]

Making its debut from 5.4 onwards, it is unlocked after a sidequest in True Rendacia and like other vocations introduced in Version 4 and later on, it starts at level 50. They can equip Swords, Greatswords, Knives, Scythes, Fisticuffs, and Shields, each one with their own individual skill trees; their exclusive skill tree is called Wave (はどう). Their Coup de Grâce is the Secret Method of Renma. Their main ability is their Wave Gauge, which fills up as you deal damage, and can be used to activate special skills.
