The Demonsbane is a recurring weapon in the Dragon Quest series series that appears as both a katana and a greatsword. Regardless of which design is use in a game, the sword deals more damage to members of the Demon family.

In Dragon Quest VIII (3DS), the Demonsbane replaces the Shamshir of light as Angelo's most powerful sword unique to him. It is obtained from Cameron Obscura after completing the Boss Troll Stamp Card.

Dragon Quest XI[]
The Demonsbane is a greatsword equipable by both the Luminary and Eight. It can be bought from the Zwaardsrust Region roving merchant for 15,000G. It can also be made in the Fun-Size Forge using two Platinum ore and two Saint's ashes.
