The Destiny Arc is the fourth arc of The Adventure of Dai. It covers the origins of the Dragon Knight and the battle against Baran and the dragon army.

Avan's special chapter is generally included with this arc in volume publications.

Popp recieves Matoriv mantle, shining staff and weird belt.
Dai, Popp and Leona go to Bengarna's department store in a country to buy new gears.
Kill-Vearn sends six green dragons and a hydra to attack the town in order to test Dai.
The trio meets Merle and Nabara that takes them to Teran in order to show the legend of the Dragon Knight.
Dai enters the Dragon Knight Temple on the bottom of the lake, where he meets Baran.
Dai, Popp, Crocodine, Leona vs Baran.
Baran erases Dai's memories, but uses too many energy in the process.
Baran summons the three dragon riders.
Galdandy kills people at the country
The King of Teran agrees to shelter Dai.
Popp goes alone to fight the dragon riders.
Popp vs Galdandy.
Hyunckel vs Borahorn.
Hyunckel vs Larhalt.
Baran's past is revealed
Hyunckel receives Larhalt Demonic Magical Armour Lance.
Crocodine vs Baran.
Hyunckel vs Baran.
Popp fails to cast kamikazee on Baran, but serves to make Dai recovers his memories.
Dai masters his Dragon Knight's power.
Dai vs Baran.
The sun Papnica Dagger and the Demonic Magical Armour Sword are destroyed in the battle.
Popp is revived by Baran's blood.
Hadlar and Zaboera vs Matoriv
Dai defeats both Hadlar and Zaboera with a sizzle spell.
Matoriv shows that he recovered the Book of Avan from Carl's library.

Trivia

Writer Sanjo originally intended this arc to be directly followed by the final fight against Vearn and to leave Popp dead permanently. Due to the popularity, the serialisation was extended for a few years.^[1]
