The Destiny Arc is the fourth arc of The Adventure of Dai. It covers the origins of the Dragon Knight and the battle against Baran and the Dragon Legion.
The "Avan, The Hero — Side Story" special chapter is generally included with this arc in volume publications.
In the 2020 volume series, it is combined with the Holy Sword Arc into a Dragon Knights saga.
Popp fails to cast Megante on Baran, but serves to make Dai recovers all of his memories.

Writer Sanjo originally intended this arc to be directly followed by the final fight against Vearn and to leave Popp dead permanently. Thanks to its popularity, the serialisation was extended for a few years.[1]
