Dragon Quest Heroes, fully titled Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below (ドラゴンクエストヒーローズ 闇竜と世界樹の城, Dragon Quest Heroes: Yami Ryu to Sekaiju no Shiro, translated as Dragon Quest Heroes: The Dark Dragon and the World Tree Castle) is a Dragon Quest hack and slash spinoff game and the first Dragon Quest title to be localized in Taiwan.
Plot
The setting is the peaceful country Elsaize. People and monsters lived in harmony until the monsters mysteriously went berserk. Humanity is surrounded by the monster armies and use anything they can to survive. The nefarious Velasco schemes to plunge the world into darkness by taking control of all the monsters in order to release the darkness dragon Shadroth: Lord of the Night.
