The Drill sergeant uses only physical attacks. The former does ~20 HP, while his violent slash will do ~25 damage. He can also Heal, prolonging the battle.
Maribel should use Sap twice and the rest of the party should attack, stopping only to Heal. This battle shouldn't cause the player much trouble.
