The Earthenwear is a set of armor in Dragon Quest III.

The Earthenwear has the Defence Bonus of +50. The armor can worn by The Hero and Warriors. While it boasts high defense at the point in the game that you receive it in, it doesn't protect against magic or breath attacks, so it isn't necessarily the best choice.
In the NES version, it cannot be sold, but in the remakes it can be sold for 9,000 gold coins. For some, the choice to sell it may be more appealing than to wear it, given its lack of elemental protection. It is located in Gaia's Navel and occassionally dropped by Living statues.
