But, the same day (the day before the bridge is declared open) repeats over and over and over again. (A lot like Groundhog Day). The hero/player must talk to the creator of the unique tower and must turn the handle inside the clock tower. Doing so will cause everyone besides the player and his party to freeze. Then, the player must enter the painting in one of the houses in town. Inside is a maze, filled with monsters. At the end is a boss fight (The time being), and the player also obtains the item 'Sands of time'. |

El Ciclo is a town in Dragon Quest VII (3DS). In past El Ciclo, the villagers plan on buliding a bridge to Greenthumb Gardens (present day Wilted Heart). Present
When returning to El Ciclo in the present time, the player can compete in the racing competition. There are 3 categories: Style, Strength and Wisdom. If you top the leaderboards in one or more of these categories, you get a prize/prizes.
