Erdrick's Cave is a location in the original Dragon Quest. Situated northwest of Tantegel, it is a lone cave surrounded by desert. It is typically the first cave visited by players, and contains Erdrick's tablet.
It is the only location in the first game, barring towns, that is devoid of monsters.

- Erdrick's Cave is preceded by the Nail Mark in Dragon Quest III. It seems logical that Nail Mark was later renamed to Erdrick's Cave after his burial.
