Erdwin's party

Erdwin's party is the name given to the group composed by Erdwin and his companions in the backstory of Dragon Quest XI.

Millenia ago, when the Dark One Calasmos threatened all of Erdrea by targeting Yggdrasil, the sacred plant gave birth to a chosen child, Erdwin, the first Luminary who, once he came to age, began a journey to lay low his evil foe.

Members[]

Erdwin-Hailing from Dundrasil, Erdwin, the very first Luminary of Yggdrasil, was a brave young man, who after training in the temple of Angri-La together with his future companion Morcant, went on journey to save Erdrea from Calasmos and his rampaging monsters.
Morcant-Descending from a noble family, Morcant sought to ever increase his already vast magical power in order to help the world, and joined Erdwin after an extended and fiery rivalry with him.
Drustan-A warrior and eventual founder of Zwaardsrust, Drustan was a stalwart ally of Erdwin.
Serenica-A sage, Serenica eventually fell deep in mutual love with Erdwin, with her eventually founding Arboria in order to keep his legacy safe.

The party was close to the Watchers of Havens Above, particularly Elder Eegoltap, united in their goal to serve and save Yggdrasil.

Sadly, most of the party members met a tragic end in a way or the other, and their quest remained unfullfilled. It was only thanks to the new Luminary and his own party of companions that would not only solve their lingering tragedies, but also finally slay Calasmos.
