Trivia[]

  • In recent years, the appearences of the Evil ganesha and its variants have become increasengly uncommon outside Dragon Quest X, particularly in titles receiving international releases, being either completely removed from the monster rosters or with some of its boss variant monsters having a completely swapped design once the game they appear is ported outside Japan, such as Guru Sudok and Mortamammoth. It is commonly speculated that this is due to an attempt to prevent a case of cultural insensitivity accusations towards the figure in Hindu religion the design takes inspiration from, although the truth on the matter remains unclear.
