Nova

Nova is the son of a general of Ringaia, and is the captain of Ringaia army in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai.

Appearance[]

Nova has a light blue hair with a black wick. He uses white winter clothes with a dark blue tunic and shoulder pads.

Personality[]

He is stubborn and arrogant, with his inexperience causing him to think that he could easily beat the orichalcum army alone, and was outraged that a kid like Dai would be the hero. He later regrets his attitude and start supporting Dai's party.

Nova, although being prideful, is someone that would use his own life for the sake of the others.

Biography[]

The son of the Bowson General of Ringaia, and the "Hero of the North". During Baran's raid on Ringaia, Nova was absent and believed that's the only reason Ringaia fell, as he would be able to stop Baran.

Epic Challenge Arc[]

He appears when the Sababa port is attacked by Hadlar's orichalcum guards, offering to take care of them alone as he doesn't appreciate the way that the Papnica army acts. He fights alone using his Aura blade against Hym, but barely injures the pawn warrior. In the end Nova is defeated by Albinass Needle Thousand attack who interfered in the battle. Block takes the battle ship of the Alliance and throws it at the Alliance members, making the cannons gun powder ignite and explode.

While engulfed by fire, Popp tries to cast Medoroa using the flames as a cover, but fortunately an upset Nova casts Kacrackle at the Orichalcum Guards and the spell is bounced back by Sigma's Bounce, this spell being Medoroa greatest weakness, meaning that if Popp had cast it, it would have killed all the heroes. Nova is then grabbed by Hym who is about to finish him off. Nova apologizes to Dai for being so stubborn. Nova is then saved by Hyunckel arriving at the most critical time.

While Dai's party is fighting against the orichalcum guards, he takes Popp's sliced rod and uses it as a spear with his aura that is able to injure Hym's hand. After the battle he apologizes to Dai for underestimating him and offers himself to go help Chiu, making him to be scolded by Leona saying it's his stubbornness' fault that he is injured and cannot be of help.

Holy Ordeal Arc[]

Before the final battle against Vearn, while Leona is going through a trial to learn Minakatoru, Nova helps Dai to learn Avan Strash Arrow and to create his own version, Avan Strash Cross.

Halo Arc[]

He participates in the final battle against the monsters from the Underworld and Zaboera. When Hyper Zaboera appears, he offers his own life for a powerful Aura Blade to be formed. Lon Berk then stops him and returns his vigor, saying that his courage and determination were more than enough and that he, Lon Berk, should be the one to make a sacrifice. Lon Berk then uses his most powerful yet more dangerous weapons, a dual blade, defeating Hyper Zaboera but losing both of his hands. Nova then says that he will be the one serving as Lon Berk's hands for his smith works from now on.

Flash of Light Arc[]

Nova and Lon Berk are the ones who freeze Carl tower's Black Core with Crack. He also uses zoom to Ringaia to destroy its black core.

At the epilogue he is seen work as a smith under Lon Berk.

With a broken sword he can use a Aura Blade, a sword that can cut even orichalcum. His special technique is Nothern Granblade. He can also cast Zoom and Crack spells.
