The metal king helm is a helmet equipment item in the Dragon Quest series. As one could guess by the name, it is connected to metal king slimes and features one directly in the front.

The metal king helm has a defence bonus of +70. The Hero, Bianca, the Hero's Son, Sancho, and Tuppence can equip it.
Dragon Quest VI[]
The metal king helm has a defense bonus of +70 and a style bonus of +38. Wearing it also protects from status and instant death attacks. The Hero, Carver, Amos, Terry, Lizzie, and all slime allies can equip it. Loss leaders have a 1/256 chance of dropping it. It is obtained from Medford's Manor after turning in 70 mini medals.
Dragon Quest VII[]
The metal king helm has a defense bonus of +60 and a style bonus of +38. The Hero, Ruff, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe can equip it. It can be sold for 10,000 gold.
Dragon Quest VIII[]
The metal king helm has a defence bonus of +55. Everyone can wear it. It can be sold for 10,000 gold. Princess Minnie gives it to you when you give her 90 mini medals. Wearing it increases resistance to Fizzle, Fuddle, Snooze, and Whack.
Dragon Quest IX[]
The metal king helm has a defense bonus of +41, a style bonus of +48, and a four star rarity. Wearing it gives the wearer a 25% resistance to Snooze, Whack, and Fizzle. It can be sold for 22,500 gold. Warriors, Minstrels, [[Gladiator]s, Paladins, Armamentalists, and Luminaries can equip it. Its in game description is "High-class headgear in which sits the soul of a metal king slime." It is created using the alchemy recipe of: Liquid metal helm x1+ Orichalcum x1+ Slime crown x1.
