Clank 'n' Knalc are twin bosses in Dragon Quest Swords. They are one of several Mirror bosses, which are bonus bosses after completing the main portion of the game. Clank and Knalc are both members of the Rogue Knight family of monsters and are similar to the boss of stage 1, Sir Dirk Worthington. They fight alongside several Healslimes which assist them throughout the battle and both of them share a HP bar.

Characteristics

Both Clank 'n' Knalc share the same appearance: A vermilion and gold suit of armour armed with a sword and shield (which resembles the Ruinous shield) with a horned helm which has a royal blue tassle at the end. There is nothing inside their armour though they both appear to have orange eyes. They can also call upon purple Healslimes to assist them by healing them both.

Trivia

• The name Clank 'n' Knalc is a palindrome, which is spelled the same backwards and forwards. This sort of word play is common among the names of the Mirror Bosses.
• Clank 'n' Knalc are the only mirror bosses who call Healslimes into battle, unlike Nomeg and Nomegoen who simply carry them once their HP is low. In addition, they and King Latem are the only Mirror Bosses not to use projectile attacks.
• Both knights have eyes, which is uncommon among Knight type monsters. This is seen when both knights have lost half their HP.
