A Flintstone is a recurring ingredient in the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest IX[]
Flintstones can be collected on the Khaalag Coast and in the Gittish Empire, as well as having a 5% chance of being found in Rank 4 blue treasure chests. Flintstone can also be dropped by Stone golems, Living statues, Golems, Grinades, and Mad moais. It can be sold for 48 gold and is used to make Terra tampers and Densinium.
Dragon Quest X[]
Flintstones are used to craft some pieces of equipment and in alchemy for adding weight and stumble resistance. It can be purchased from a material store for 110 gold or dropped by various monsters, including Living statues, Prancing pillars, Dirty dogus, Stone golems, and King squids.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Flintstones can be purchased from the roving emporium in The Manglegrove for 120 gold and sold for 30 gold. They can be received from sparkly spots in the Heliodor Region, the Heliodorian Foothills, and The Manglegrove. Two flintstones can also be found in pots in Heliodor, two in Downtown Heliodor, and one in a barrel in The Manglegrove. Flintstones have a 1⁄8 chance of being dropped by Stone golems and a 1⁄8 chance of being dropped by Living statues. They are used to make Copper swords in the Fun-Size Forge.

Dragon Quest Heroes[]
Flintstone can be dropped by Golems and Stone golems or exchanged for 3 Mini medals. It can occasionally be found in treasure chests or barrels on the Stonecloud. The flintstone can be used to create Loin-girders and the quick recipe for the Rousing ring in the Alchemy Pot and sold for 7 gold. Two stones are required to complete Quest #32: TRIKS UV THE TRAID.
Dragon Quest Heroes II[]
Flintstone is used as an ingredient to improve various accessories and can be sold for 7 gold. It can be dropped by Living statues and Stone golems.
