Fosuteiru (Foster) is a character in Dragon Quest X. An enigmatic, slighty manipulative, far more knowledgable than he lets on, but ultimately benevolent poppet seer and first king of Megistolis from 500 years ago, the first time Fosuteiru is met it was actually a well meaning doppleganger who had accidentally taken on his identity.
He would later be met for real while helping Eruju in the past, and once again in the present, as his soul was one of the selected ones by the Angels for the ritual of deification. Of those ones, not only the ever cautious Fosuteiru was the only one that was not corrupted by dark powers, but he is also currently the only one that has not faded into the afterlife.
Appearance[]
Unlike other poppets, which usually have stylized or silly expressions, Fosuteiru has more defined traits, giving him an unusual human-like, "handsome" look. He has long hair color mauve, which extends to also the fur of his cat-like ears, which are adorned with a pair of earrings with green gems. He also wears a forehead jewelry, a pink coat with fluffy collar and golden sleeve cuffs, a light blue robe, and always carries with him his oversized stringed musical instrument, which is almost as big as himself. The strap of said instrument has a small cat bell attached.
