The fright bulb is a monster who appears in the Dragon Quest series. It and its close cousins are Slimes that take on a more plant-like appearance.

The Fright Bulb is a black slime-shaped bulb monster with green leaves for arms. They sometimes scream at enemies to freeze them in their tracks.
