When the Children of Hargon arrived, they condemned the land full of sin and cursed the soil with an ill wind, hampering any chances of farming and imposing strict laws to the residents of Furrowfield, and Furrowfield Farm.
The player helps to rebuild the town to a certain point, before being given a mysterious seed by Rosie, who asks the player to plant it in the center of the town, where it becomes a Deitree sapling. This attracts [[Pastor Al]], who is mesmerized by the young Deitree, and gives the people of Furrowfield tasks to complete to grow the Deitree into a fully grown one. Pastor Al also tells the player how to plant different crops, and gives the player a Bottomless Pot and Windbraker, before being slain by the [[Brainy badboon|Brainy Badboon]], Malroth vows to DESTROY the Brainy Badboon for that, and then the player begins construction on the actual Deitree.

Once it’s complete, the Brainy Badboon is attracted to it, and vows to destroy it, only to be defeated by the player and Malroth. Afterwards, the story-impacting characters ask the player if they can come with them back to the Isle of Awakening. The ones who ask if they can come are Rosie, Bonanzo, Perry, [[Wrigley]], [[Britney]], and [[Lillian]].

Rosie destests that while all seemed lost, she still believes that were still hope and tasks the builder to create a fountain of water to help them nourish what little crops they had, cabbage.

Once the Builder rings the bell, the residents of Furrowfield Farm gain a strange incentive to grow crops and Rosie discovers a memory that she had kept a mystery seed and gives it to the Builder, asking for it to be planted. It turns into a sapling but attracts a local pastor who scowls his ill intentions towards the hero but withdraws it and instead elects on 'watching' the sapling.

To both them and Malroth's surprise, a Wriggler is cornered by monsters and was freed from his situation. The giant worm introduces himself as Wriggly and agrees to return to Furrowfield Farm, to call a home, and to help the land regain its former prosperity. With a scarecrow, the Wriggler nourishes the soil around it and the farmers can start growing crops. Convinced by the Farmers and the interesting growth of the Deitree, the Pastor agrees to join Furrowfield Farm and is named Al.

As the tree grows and becomes bigger, it won't take long until the rest of the Children to discover the new sprout of creation happening on their territory and constantly threw forces to try and stop them from completing it. Eventually, the [[Brainy badboon|Brainy Badboon]], leader of the local cult, corrupts the Deitree, much to the disarray of the farmers, as a reminder of those who dare oppose Hargon's rule. Rosie, unswayed with their attempts, urges the Builder to use the Windbraker, given by the Pastor to find the old Deitree, that was causing the Ill Wind and the Spoilspores.

Unfortunately, Al was mortally injured for his treachery, and admits that Rosie could continue his legacy and knowledge before finally succumbing to his fate. With the Brainy Badboon gone, the Children of Hargon retreat from Furrowfield, lifting the Ill Wind and the Deitree was finally allowed to spread its influence across all of the land. The Builder leaves with Rosie, Bonanzo, [[Wrigley]], [[Britney]], and [[Lillian]].

Furrowfield is the second island discovered in Dragon Quest Builders 2. A land once bountiful of lush fertile soil, it was well known to grow a wide variety of crops.
