- General Zobris is similar to Nadraga from the same game, both being evils that used a form of themselves cut off from before they were sealed (Lantel and Patriarch Orstov) to manipulate the characters (The Hero and Nagene) into freeing their main bodies.
- However, unlike Nadraga, Zobris is quickly disposed of just moments after being freed.
- Zobris is also similar to General Rudolph, a minor villain from Dragon Quest: Legend of the Hero Abel, both being evils that were sealed by a magic sword (Magic Astron Sword and Blizzard blade), only to be freed by characters who are looking for a new weapon to use in future battles (Nagene and Abel).
