"I was born from the darkness. I am the darkness"— Gisvarg
Gisvarg is the true final boss from Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart. He is the one responsible for corrupting Magarugi and setting off the events that would eventually lead to Kiefer bringing the Power of Erdrick right to him.
Appearance[]
He's an unsightly entity, one of his greatest distinctions being his three eyes, one on his face and the other two on his palms. He also, bears a tail of a dragon and has horns on the each of his knees.
He also bears a striking resemblance to Estark somehow, but this is likely coincidental.
Personality[]
Not much is known of Gisvarg's personality, but he is cunning and manipulative and will do whatever it takes to achieve his goals.

Monster Series[]
Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart[]
Gisvarg is the main antagonist and secret boss in Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart. The rumor that the Power of Erdrick could grant wishes was his doing. He couldn't use the Power of Erdrick himself, so instead he set things up so that Kiefer and his friends might do his dirty work.
Things were going according to his plan until Kiefer managed to defeat Magarugi and cure her of Gisvarg's influence.
He tried to salvage the situation by forcing the hero to bring the Power of Erdrick to him, but he was ultimately defeated.

Trivia[]
- The battle theme heard when confronting Gisvarg is "the True Evil", the theme of Malroth. As Caravan Heart occurs in the same world as Dragon Quest 2, this is rather appropriate.
