The Gittish Empire is an old stretch of land that was once controlled by an evil empire of the same name in Dragon Quest IX. The empire was controlled by King Godwyn from Gittingham Palace.
History[]
300 years prior to the story of IX, the Gittish Empire attempted to conquer the world after allying with the evil dragon Barbarus. Believing themselves to be superior to the rest of mankind, they conquered and burned down countless lands and demanded money and women from those they conquered. However the entire empire was eventually destroyed by Greygnarl and his allies.
While they were still active, the Gittish Empire controlled a vast region of the world after their military expansion, where they constructed a new royal palace, Gittingham Palace, as well as hellish prison for its enemies, the Gortress; However, most of this new territory was left uninhabited following their destruction, while their original territory restructured itself after the deaths of its leading figures, creating the kingdom of Coffinwell.
However, centuries later, during the events of the story, the old forces of Gittish Empire, including its leading figures, were resurrected as monsters by one of their past enemies, Corvus, a Celestrian the Empire had managed to capture and torture for many years before they were wiped out. Now an empire of undead monsters, most members of the empire were unaware they they have died and continued with their conquest as if they were still human, reoccupying their previous terrory and continuing their campaign of world conquest like no time had passed at all, before bing stopped by the actions of the Celestrian Hero.
