Golden Oldies is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.
Appearances[]
Dragon Quest VIII[]
Making its debut, it is learned by Yangus when one invests 100 skill points into his Humanity skill tree. It costs 15 MP to use, and he shouts for Grandad, who comes charging in with an army of geezers of all types, from thugs and merchants to familiar faces, and targets all enemies and can attack four times randomly, dealing damage equal to 1.2 times Yangus's current level.
Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road II[]
Appearing as Torneko Taloon's Coup de Grâce, he summons Ragnar McRyan, Morrie, Borya, Trode, Yangus, Sir Mervyn, and more geezers with the Baron's Bugle to run over enemies.
Dragon Quest Heroes II[]
While it goes unnamed, the skill seemingly returns as Torneko's coup de grace, blowing his trumpet to summon a small army of thugs that then stampede any monster they come across on the battlefield.
