Great Defence Wall is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest of the Stars[]
Used by the Dragonlord during the first phase of the battle in the Guided by Rubiss's Light event, it reduces damage from spells and attacks until the Dragonlord's shadows are defeated. He can still use spells and abilities while the wall is in place, however.
Dragon Quest Builders[]
Acting the same as in Of the Stars, the Dragonlord uses this once again until 30 of the Dragonlord's shadows are defeated.
