Gyldygga is a boss in Dragon Quest XI and a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Appearance[]
Gyldygga is a golden armoured dragon humanoid monster with spikes protruding from her armour and a pair of horns on her back with the Yellow Orb of Yggdrasil on the end of its tail. Said orb allows her to transmute flesh into gold, though the effect is temporary. She can rip through defences with Rake 'n' Break; and although bulky, she is agile enough to act twice in any given turn.

Trivia[]
- Contrarily to Jasper, who transformed himself into a demon, Gyldygga is not a corrupted version of Mia's body, but is more akin to a monstrous shell or suit of armour she crafted out of gold with her powers.
- The name "Gyldygga" is a play on "gold digger", which refers to someone greedy who often uses people for financial gain. This is doubly fitting, as Mia is shown to be greedy, even before she became one of Mordegon's Spectral Sentinels.
- The term "Gilded" also refers to something that is coated in a layer of gold while not actually composing of it on the inside.
