HP Hoover is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest IX[]
Making its debut, it is learned when one invests 88 skill points in the Knife skill tree. It costs 4 MP to use, and can steal enemies' HP while also replenishing the user's as well. Morag can also use it in battle as well.
Dragon Quest XI[]
Learned by Erik after he found forgiveness with his knife skill panel expanded, it acts the same as in IX. It is also used by Golden Boy in the 3DS and 2D mode of the Switch version only.
