Half-Inch is learned by allocating 10 skill points into the Thief's acquisitiveness. When used, the user attempts to steal an item from the enemy, with the sucess rate corresponding to the user's deftness. The stolen item is added to the character's inventory. This skill costs no MP to use, and although a character cannot steal more than one item from the same monster, the monster still has the normal random chance drops.
Learned when 8 skill points are invested into the Thief's acquisitiveness skill tree, it once again attempts to steal a monster's item drops and if successful, the party can receive the item drops, as well as gold. It can also be learned by Goodybags when they are recruited by players.
Erik can learn this ability by spending 8 skill points in his Guile Character Builder and costs 0 MP to use. Base steal rate is about 1/6 and can be improved by gear and by 1% for every 20 points of deftness. The maximum steal rate is 75%.
