Hand of God is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series

Description[]

Charges pugilism with the power of providence to smite the most dangerous foes.

Appearances[]

Dragon Quest VIII 3DS[]

Appearing in the 3DS version, it is learned by Morrie when investing 100 skill points into his Claw skill tree and costs 10 MP to use. Unlike IX, X, and XI, Hand of God is a non-elemental attack and will ignore the enemy's Defence stat, although it will not work on metal slimes. When used, Morrie will leap into the air and infuse his claw with the sun's rays before diving claw-first at his target.

Dragon Quest IX[]

Making its debut, it can be used by any character that has 'The Core of the Claw' (quest #76) item in their inventory. It deals 180~260 Light attribute damage to one enemy, capping at 400~480 once the user's strength reaches 900, costing 14 MP to use.

Dragon Quest X[]

Appearing in the latter half of 4.5 onwards, it is learned when 200 skill points are invested into the Claw skill tree and deals around 600 Light attribute damage, with the damage increasing by about 0.7 for each attack. It costs 10 MP to use, and is also used by Kate in battle. In the Offline version of the game, it is a Coup de Grâce learned by investing 20 skill points into the Hero and Mjoll's Claw skill tree after clearing the 3rd and 4th skill panel expansion side quests and costs 75 Tension to use.

Dragon Quest XI[]

Learned by Rab by investing 20 skill points in his Claws panel after certain events in Act 2 when all of his Character Builder has been unlocked, it costs 24 MP to use and will inflict heavy Light damage on an opponent based on Rab's Strength attribute, capping at 380~460.

Dragon Quest Walk[]

Acting the same as in X and XI, it is learned at level 30 when wielding Crystal claws and costs 15 MP to use. It also learned by recruited Golems at level 50 and costs 28 MP to use.

Dragon Quest Treasures[]

Known as Glowstick in this spinoff game, it is learned by Golden goliaths and generates a light explosion in a wide radius, also dealing impact damage if a foe is struck by the initial slam. It costs 5 MP to use.
